The Met Gala always showcases the most amazing fashion. Women (and men for that matter), go all out! However I must say that this year I can’t help but feel completely underwhelmed!
I think it’s a reflection on society as a whole and the fact that we don’t dress up any more. I mean people in their sweats and PJs at the airport is my biggest pet peeve. Like for real, put some clothes on.
This year’s Met Gala was full of women looking beautiful, but not really pulling out all the “fashion” stops IMO. And I know crop tops are the new trend…but is it really necessary for gowns? NOT A FAN. The scary thing is, the only persons dress I liked was Kim Kardashian (Say What??). Oh, and Victoria Beckham looked awesome!
Basically the majority of these women looked like they were walking some random red carpet event….NOT the Met Ball. Agree?
Anne Hathaway in her Calvin Klein dress that blended right into that horrible carpet. Opps.
Lupita N, in Prada, looks like she’s going to a Native American celebration.
Emma Stone wore Thakoon and from the waist up looks like she’s hitting the gym.
Rhianna wearing Stella McCartney crop top dress.
Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton. I mean she looks like she should be going to church!
Men have their fantasy football….and I have my fantasy wardrobe. Here are my favorite “It” girls/bloggers/fashionistas who I want to steal their style and clothes! Hence my Fashion Dream Team! Continue reading →
Being the fashion maven that I am, I’m always interested to see what the stars are wearing on the red carpet. This years Golden Globes did not disappoint…here are my top 8 best dressed IMO and in no particular order!!
So I’m nearly finished with my Christmas shopping…..the only person I have left to buy for is Mom. Parents are always hard to shop for, but my mom is especially hard. Here’s what I have so far:
Husband: He actually requested this gift, but it’s perfect for anyone who owns a small graphic design business. It’s basically a book / CD Rom of templates that help to show your work, or even propose potential work to clients. At just $60, it’s a steal since it’s a good tool to grow your business! You can order it here:
Blank Slate Library Gift for the Graphic Designer Husband!
There is nothing more motivating than new work out gear! I was walking by the Nike store here in Monte Carlo, and I was IN LOVE with this jacket I saw in the window.
I was on the way to get my eyebrows waxed, so I didn’t have time to stop….but it peaked my curiosity. Basically, I just spent the last hour on their website and have a “cart” full of about $500 worth of AWESOME gear! Keep in mind, my sports are running & yoga. But here is just a few of the goodies I picked out (Christmas hinting happening here 100%)!!
So the weather is starting to cool down in the South of France, and by cool I mean in the low 20’s….but it’s still fresh enough to start rocking some of the newest fall fashion! Here are my top 3 picks:
1. Everyone knows that a blazer is a staple in any woman’s wardrobe. It can take a simple t-shirt and jeans and make it less casual….or it can take a cocktail dress to something more office appropriate. For this fall, I’m loving this Ikat Blazer by Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent. Here are her two takes.
2. Next, I’m loving these single color skirt and crop top ensembles. I’ve not been brave enough to rock one myself, but perhaps once I move back to Miami I will have a bit more courage.
3. Finally….the patterned pant! These are simply stunning from Celine. I plan on rocking lots of patterned pants this fall. I’ve got this gorgeous pair of floral patterned pants that I’ve been waiting to wear, and I think it’s high time I broke out those bad boys!
